How trainable are Miniature Schnauzers?

As you might’ve guessed by the title, I’d like to know how trainable Miniature Schnauzer tend to be. I know it varies a lot by dog and by owner/trainer, but in general, what should I expect if I choose the Mini Schnauzer as my next dog?

I’d like to get into a couple of dog sports, like rally, but building solid basic obedience is obviously my first priority.

Given their history, I’m aware they’re not going to be as naturally eager-to-please as a Labrador, but do you think they can thrive in training and actually enjoy working with their handler?
