Please its really important for me to answer this question. I need your help redditors!!! Did the promise got broken?

Derp returned home and grabbed some sponges before leaving again to clean a car with his cousin.
On the way, they stopped on a bridge. Derp turned around and while looking back he said to his cousin:

“I’m never going back again just to get sponges. If I go back and get sponges again, I’ll give you 100 euros.”

They shook hands and continued their trip.
They cleaned the car with the sponges they already had and threw them away. They returned home and slept.

Ten days later, something unusual happened.
Derp sleepwalked. Without any awareness, memory, or control, he wandered outside, randomly walked back into the house, grabbed some sponges, and walked out again—still sleepwalking and completely unconscious of what he was doing.

On another day, Derp went outside his house to throw away an old chair. While doing that, he decided he also wanted to take out some trash he had inside. He went back into his home, collected various pieces of rubbish from the floor—one of which happened to be a set of sponges—put everything into a bag, went outside again, and threw the whole bag away.

• 1) In the sleepwalking incident, did Derp break his promise by unconsciously going back inside the house and grabbing sponges, even though he had no awareness, intention, or memory of doing so?
• 2) In the trash-throwing incident, did Derp violate anything by going back inside his house to gather garbage, and unintentionally including sponges among the trash he bagged and threw away?
