Can i fix tracking force/ down force with accessories without buying a new tt?

I recieved this Akai ATT-B11 record player from my girlfriend 1 year ago (outside of my warranty) and i really dont want to sell it due to it being from her and i read all the reviews on this subreddit saying that i should buy the audiotehnica LP600. Trust me, if i could, i would reverse the time and tell her to buy this instead, but i can’t. I know all the bullying on this Akai cheap turntable from other posts on this subreddit, but i lost all my patience, trying to search on how to upgrade it to avoid skipping. Not all my records skip, but my favorites do :). Do you have any tips on how to solve the skipping issue with accessories or changing pieces?
