Has anyone ever got back with their avoidant ex?

I was just wondering if anyone rekindled, even when it seemed like all hope is gone. Even if they failed no contact multiple times and even if its 8 months down the line. When it literally seems impossible and the avoidant ex is avoiding hard. And if so did you pull away? Even when it feels the complete opposite of what you want to do
