EV tariff for PHEV?

Hi all,

I got a PHEV a few months back. It has a 12kW battery giving 10.4kW usable capacity giving 15-20 miles EV range. In my experience, I rarely use the petrol engine except for long distance journeys or the occasional journeys slightly longer than the battery range. Around 90% of my driving is fully electric.

I find I usually use the car 2 or 3 times a day, and fully charge the battery in between the uses. I only have a granny charger but it's enough to fill up the battery between uses, so I charge the car up 2 or 3 times a day. This would obviously mean I cannot always charge up at night. If I only charge up at night, only one out of three journeys can be fully electric. Whereas if I charge whenever I want, three out of three journeys are fully electric.

Should I switch to an EV only tariff like the Octopus one, or stick with a standard tariff? My current energy tariff is 20.7p per kWh.
