Weird rudder response

Hey all,

I have xplane 12 with a thrustmaster rudder pedal.

I know, I know....not the best but Im not trying to sink $$$ so it's what I have.

I've noticed that the rudder just seems way off. If you push it a little it veers way off with a sluggish response and then a delayed over compensation the other way. It seems like it isn't responsive enough and you get this horrible poorly regulated control function which is hardly useable.

In the air, I noticed that the flight is MORE coordinated when I dont use rudder than when I do. Using rudder pushes the ball out from the perfect center it is without them.

Ive heard this is actually a common glitch. Does anyone know how to fix it?

I have very limited cessna stick time, but I don't remember the rudder being like that...i remember it being kind of...intuitive or predictable.
