Needs your opinions for a fanfiction I'm writing

I'm writing a fanfiction about my hero academia, well let's say a huge part of it is in mha verse, the mc will go to other worlds.

The question for you guys is, are you willing to read a fanfiction where some things like the canon events are subverted, or you like to just see the oc character participate in those events.

I'm in dilemma, i want to do something different but at the same time the reader side of mine wants to keep everything the same with just my oc ridding the wave.

Please enlighten me guys.
