What was the EXACT moment you realized CS2 isn’t “just a prettier CSGO”?
I swear, for the first few weeks after CS2 dropped, I kept telling myself it was basically CSGO with RTX and softer smokes. Same game, new engine, whatever. Muscle memory would carry me.
But there was a very specific moment when it finally hit me: “Bro… this is NOT the same game.”
For me, it was a duel on Mirage mid.
I wide-swung like I’ve done a thousand times in CSGO. Same timing, same angle, same confidence and my character floated for half a second like I was playing on a wet floor. My crosshair drifted, my recoil felt like a different species, and by the time I tried correcting the shot, the guy had already deleted me.
That death wasn’t just a death. It was a funeral for 10 years of automatic habits.
That was when I realized:
CS2 doesn’t “feel” wrong. it’s just a DIFFERENT game with different rules, built on a different engine, with different physics. And I’m still trying to play it like CSGO out of stubbornness.
