I enjoyed playing fortnight

For years this game has come across as complete cringe to most people in my social circle. The Gf and I ended up getting a really nice gaming tv and we were going through the features, and it includes free fortnight cloud gaming. We both kinda chuckled but we're also curious to see how it ran on the TV. Upon spawning into the map I was very surprised. I remember playing fortnight like once 10 years ago and thought it was dumb and never looked at it since. But I was seriously impressed with what they've done with the place. The mechanics, the map, the details. Everything felt great. My girlfriend kinda laughed as I dove into it for the next hous and got seriously invested. I'm worried people are gonna judge me if I play fortnight. I'm 30 years old but I have a solid job, pay bills, and do what needs to be done. I feel like I should be able to enjoy this in my downtime even if it's "cringe" or "childish" to those around me.
