Help? – Lost Customs Scores

Alright, so, I've been playing vanilla RB3 with custom scores on an Xbox 360 for years now. My setup was working flawlessly this entire time: I have 1 Xbox profile ["Me"] that I sign into when I have my "Tryhard" USB drive plugged into the console. [This USB stick has all my RB3 customs that I play on my own time, chasing gold stars and FCs, etc.]

There is a secondary Xbox 360 profile ["Party"] that I use with a separate "Party" USB stick, which I keep loaded with a second set of songs specifically for RB3 get-togethers. The customs on that USB have a lot more chart toppers, pop, and radio hits. There is some overlap in songs, and I prefer to keep the scoring separate.

Again, juggling between these 2 profiles and USBs has worked perfectly for several years now.

We recently upgraded to a new TV and I unplugged all our electronics to move them into a new cabinet. Here's the next sequence of events to my best recollection:

• Plugged the Tryhard USB stick into the 360.

• Turned on the Xbox 360 and booted up RB3 without interacting with the home screen (so no DLC or customs began to boot).

• Realized the girlfriend was down to sing; switched to the Party profile.

• Swapped out the Tryhard USB for the Party USB.

• I'm not sure if it was after selecting the profile, or if I selected the profile and then hit Start at the title screen, but ⚠️ the game asked me to select a storage device. This never happens.

• Mid-conversation and without thinking, I selected the Console storage.

• I found it weird that after the usual "Finding Downloaded Content..." count, for the RB3 customs, it then showed the red bar to load those customs. Like 900+ of them.

Didn't think much of it. Calibrated the game to our new TV and dove in, and had a good time. Something I did find odd was that when sorting by Date Added, our newest custom songs were not there. It was just a random grab of customs, most of which had scores. Almost like the game was reassessing all RB3 customs as a whole, with no distinction between ones added a year ago or ones added to the USB a week ago.

Flesh forward to last night. This time I booted up the Me profile with the Tryhard USB in the console. I didn't get asked to select a Storage device to save. Same weird issue where it had a red "Loading Downloaded Content" bar after the normal Finding count.

Same issue, again, where once I was in, I sorted by Date Added to find my most-recent tracks and wasn't seeing my newest additions. They're definitely on there when searching by artist / song, but just not acknowledged as the most recently added.

I played one of those new songs and saved a score in hopes of "refreshing" my stars / scores, and upon doing it... I lost nearly 1,500 stars. So, approximately 300 songs. Taking a closer look, I found a ton of customs that no longer had scores saved, but also just as many (if not more) that retained their score.

What the hell happened? Are those scores gone for good? My guess is that when I was faced with that storage choice last week, I should have selected the USB drive. But I can't seem to replicate the issue to get back to that screen. Please note that I had not and still have not tampered with any of the Xbox profiles. Literally the only thing that seemed to change was a pop-up to select the storage where I mistakenly picked the console whereas I think I should have selected the USB. Has anyone encountered this before, or does anyone know how to prompt that storage selection?

Thanks for reading and-or for any tips, if anyone has any to spare.
