Lost 70 pounds. Still need CPAP.

I’m so demoralized. I was 270, now 200lbs. I’m 5”5’ so I am still fat but before I got sleep apnea I was 190 pounds and had zero symptoms. I got sleep apnea when I got hypothyroidism, PCOS/insulin resistance, vitamin deficiencies etc and my weight shot up really high. It was night and day with symptoms, from no symptoms to sudden onset of snoring, sleeping 16 hours, etc. I’ve lost 70 pounds with very little effort over the last 7 years by treating these health issues but I just can’t believe it’s still there.

I have had a few nights without CPAP in a row because my tubing busted and I’m waiting for the new tubing to arrive, and I thought it would be a good experiment to see how I felt without it. Well I am waking up a ton and feel terrible. My AHI when I got my study initially 7 years ago wasn’t even high, it was like 5, but CPAP changed my entire life so clearly I need it. I do have small anatomy - small face, mouth, etc) and maybe that’s contributing. I’m just so depressed about it.

Using CPAP gave me rosacea which I never had and which is now not only my biggest insecurity but since I have neurogenic symptoms it also causes a lot of facial pain when I make expressions.

Does anyone have genuine success with any CPAP alternatives?
