Black Sand Beach Reservation and Parking

I plan on visiting Black Sand beach. When purchasing the tickets it says that for parking, you must arrive within the first 30 minutes of your reservation time. But then I keep reading about people who just barely made it to the beach in their reservation window. So do you really need to arrive within the first 30 minutes to get parking?
