Degenerative Disc Disease... I'm 19.

I have been having severe lower back pain since March 2025, I saw a doctor around April who assumed it was muscular and advised me to stop weightlifting for a month and see how it goes. Well, that did nothing and the pain got increasingly worse, so I decided to see an orthopedic in Sep/Oct. She told me it was definitely disc related based on my x-ray and symptoms. She prescribed me a medication (diclofenac) and told me to go to PT for 4-6 weeks. Well, diclofenac gave me really bad side effects so I switched meloxicam which doesn't really touch it. I've been in PT for 4 weeks (two times a week) and it isn't improving whatsoever. I really don't known what to do and I don't want to be in pain the rest of my life. Has anyone had injections and/or surgery for this? I would really appreciate any comments or advice!
