Author Serena Akeroyd. Is she whitewashing a r@pist?

So recently I started to read a series called "The Five Points’ Mob" by Serena Akeroyd. In the second book "Fithy rich" ( Eoghan O’Donnelly’s story"), inessa talk about her crush Maxim. He is the guard of her father and she used to have a crush on him but not anymore. Eoghan ask her why she don't have that crush anymore and she tells him that she saw Maxim with a prostitute. the scenes literally goes like this :

*she whispered, “He fucked her ass.” There was more to it than that. “And?”

She turned her face to the side. “He didn’t use lube. There was blood.”

“He raped her anally,” I said flatly.

“Y-Yes. I guess so.”

“No guess about it. Whores can be raped too.”

“Not in my father’s world,” she whispered.*

And fast forward to book four (Brennan O'Donnelly's story), THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT MAXIM POTENTIALLY MARRYING INESSAS LITTLE SISTER WHO'S LIKE 14 OR 15 WHEN SHE TURNS 18.

Someone asked the author when will the book of Victoria (the little sister) and Maxim's book will be out and she said (in Goodreads) :

"Maxim and Victoria don't have a book. Victoria is only 14/15 at the moment. She needs time to grow up still ;)

And there are two teams on this. #TeamShay and #TeamMaxim... Victoria is getting a book eventually... But who knows who she'll end up with ;)"

WHAT'S GOING ONE GUYS? SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS A HUGE MISUNDERSTANDING ON MY PART 😭😭😭.
