Metastasis after stage I

Young Cancer Patients

I found out I likely have metastasis to my liver and spine. This really sucks. My journey started in 2022 with stage I idc in my right breast and I went through 2 lumpectomies, radiation, and 4 rounds TC and was in remission. I had my breast mri last week and my breasts were fine but there was an incidental finding in my liver that they initially weren’t worried about. Cue me getting a ct and then an MRI and the results being a spine lesions and liver lesion.

This really sucks. I’m only 33. I was supposed to have a destination wedding in January now I’m wondering if I should cancel it and try to rush a US one through. I was supposed to have children (has preserved eggs and we were planning on using them this year). Just coming to terms with my life looking very different and being shorter.

I guess next steps are a liver biopsy and full bone scan. A very small part of me is hoping the liver biopsy shows something not cancerous but I know it’s unlikely. Also really need to oncologist to schedule me for an actual appointment as all the messaging through mychart is a bit frustrating and I have so many questions.

That’s all. Mostly just ranting because this really sucks.
