And I have suggestions.

But first I need to explain why I personally think this is needed. After SG1 season 8 it looked like a lot of regulars were transitioning out. The beginning made it seem like the OG sg1 was moving on and that it would be a new team. Normally it would've been very sad but seeing a familiar face in Ben Browder gave me hope. A lot of viewers back in the day knew Ben from Farscape and knew he could make it a fun show even if the old guard wasn't around anymore.

So with the new show, a lot of people are going to be upset if the other actors don't show up or do 1 measly cameo. Which is to be expected because a minimum of 15 years has passed. And by the time the first episode launches who knows how long that will take.

So the new show needs someone who has the sci fi cred to carry the franchise on their own.

For this I have come to 1 solution:

Tahmoh Penikett

He would be in my humble opinion the best option for team leader. He is still physically fit, he has the sci fi credibility and is still active and a great actor.
