Is it just me, or has matchmaking improved with Chapter 7?

Basically title. I feel like I’m getting matched with folks that are more similar to my skill level. Only a couple matches so far have I been demolished by someone wayyy better than me. Very refreshing. Also, I am SO grateful that there are no medallions. That meta was getting hella old
