SRS light on, 2009 corolla. Mechanic reccomendations that also deal with airbags/SRS?

My SRS/airbag light is turned on in my 2009 toyota corolla. Many mechanics in the houston area dont touch airbags because of the liability risk of the airbags deploying while working on them.

I tried pushing the connectors together, didnt work. Tried using an SRS capable OBDII scanner which didnt detect anything. Any mechanic shop reccomendations which can diagnose and fix the issue?
