Synopsis
On the day of the Mountain Village Country Fair, the narrow-gauge engines are busy with deliveries. Duncan is tasked with collecting the clock tower’s bell from the Transfer Yards so it can be polished.
While traveling, Duncan rides over a bumpy stretch of track and becomes enchanted by the bell’s ringing — so much so that he ignores warnings to proceed slowly. As he speeds up, the bell tumbles off his flatbed due to the rough track and rolls down a hill.
Fortunately, the bell becomes caught in a tree. Hearing it ring, Duncan follows the sound, positions himself underneath, and manages to catch the bell just in time. He then carefully delivers the bell to the polishers and returns to the Transfer Yards. Later, when the bell rings out at the fair opening, Duncan is relieved and proud everything worked out.
