Why does the iPadOS version consume significantly less power while the Mac version consumes nearly 5W more power when running on a MacBook, even though the Mac version has different power consumption?

This puzzled me greatly. The Mac version is more expensive, so it should be more compatible with my Macbook. But the result is that it doesn't have the FSR feature that iPadOS has, and it even makes my Mac's battery drain faster.
