My girlfriend's parents want us to breakup. Advice?
I (f16) and my gf (f16) have been together for 4 months. Its not that long, but its long enough to know that I love her so much. She was my first everything. My parents have known (and accepted) her as my gf the whole time. Her parents, until recently, thought we were just friends.
Some context:
Her parents are extremely religious and homophobic. My gf came out to them yesterday, at first they said they didn't accept her but I can stay her gf, but now they think that I'm the bad guy (as in I made all of this happen etc etc) and that if we've been together this long it might last even longer (which they do not want). My gf does not like hiding things from her parents which is why she came out, so she could be open about us. My gf has dated men in the past, so her parents think that " if she could do it then, why not now" .. They do know that I make her a lot happier, though. Her parents say things like "why can't you stay best friends" and so on.
My gf freaks out about a lot of things, this being one of them. She does not know what to do in this situation, and nor do I. I told her that her parents need to get used to it first, because it has only been a day, but she insists that no matter how long we stay together, her parents will try to break us up.
I don't mind staying friends with her until everything is sorted, because I do not seek any other romantic relationship other than with her. If we have to break up, I will not go out and try find a new girl, I can't . She does not want to either. She is so in love with me (and I am so in love with her ofc), so it's not like she wants to breakup.
Any advice as to how to go about this?
It's stressing me out because we are both young and not independent, but I am willing to wait for her for as long as possible. She thinks it's going to hurt me, but the reality is, almost any wlw relationship will because not many people have accepting parents, and especially with me, as a masculine presenting woman, parents do not typically like me, so I'm used to this sort of stuff.
