Can you sit in a wheelchair companion seat without accompanying anyone disabled?

I know this makes me seem like an asshole at first but curious if I could reserve the wheelchair companion seat at first and then give it up for the movie if someone needs it, or am I removing this option for them and taking away the opportunity entirely? The language on the app makes it seem like the former to me.

I want to attend a screening with an exclusive poster giveaway and would be fine just getting my poster, leaving, and seeing the movie at another time. I imagine they’d also have a few extras so the companion wouldn’t be shortchanged.
