Switching from AutoSoft XC to TruSteel
My supplies are up for reorder and have been considering switching to TruSteel. What's the bigest hurdle between it and AutoSoft XC? I got the XC's for the applicator. My main reason for switching is to see if my overall blood sugars are better. I've been dealing with some medically induced insulin resistance which makes me "drink" insulin. The heavier insulin load seems to cause premature site failures resulting in higher numbers. I know that's not always the case, but still want to see if TruSteel will make a difference or not. I've discussed the higher insulin usage with my endo and they are suggesting I stop novolog and use Humalog U200 instead. Anyone use that? I know the U200 would generally mean lower dosing all around, but still. I can't add metformin to the mix since my renal function is low, so I'm stuck relying on insulin.
TIA!
