Whole foods over Ultra Processed
I've been seeing vegans arguing lately that these meat alternatives are healthier than real meat. While it may be true they have less saturated fats, sodium, and fiber. They are significantly lacking in B12, iron, and zinc, things you mostly get from meat.
The nutrient profile alone is enough to consider that we, as humans, need to be consuming whole foods. We should not be consuming products produced in a laboratory with petroleum based flavorings and reintroduced chemical made proteins.
Eat your meat alternatives, educate others on vegan ideals, but arguing against logic is not helping this cause. It is entirely nonsensical to eat and argue for ultra processed foods over whole foods like beans, grains, vegetables, and nuts.
