What To Do If You’ve Already Been Scammed by a Trading Platform
It’s extremely common to feel confused, angry, or overwhelmed after realizing you’ve been scammed by a forex broker, crypto mining site, or high-risk investment program. This post is for anyone who has reached that stage and doesn’t know what to do next.
Here are the first steps to take:
Stop communicating with the platform immediately.
Do not pay “taxes”, “unlock fees”, or “processing charges” these are fake.
Gather evidence: screenshots, emails, wallet IDs, transaction receipts.
Write down the timeline of events while everything is fresh.
Report the platform to regulators if they claim to be licensed.
Share the platform name here so others can identify them.
Warn anyone who was introduced through social media, WhatsApp, or online groups.
What NOT to do:
• Don’t trust anyone messaging you privately claiming they can “recover your funds.”
• Don’t believe people who say they work for Binance, Coinbase, or “blockchain investigators.”
• Don’t share private keys or wallet seed phrases with anyone.
Many members here have gone through the same thing. Sharing your situation (even anonymously) helps uncover patterns, exposes fraudulent websites, and supports others who might be experiencing the same scam right now.
You’re not the first person this has happened to, and your report can help prevent the next victim.
