Is it supposed to be this tough

So, I have defeated the hornet in the green path, however I am unable to go out the path I came in. I rested at uno lake and after that I have been jumping over pools unsuccessfully falling in the river, the nre cloak ability i have got isnt helping or I have not yet got the hang of it. The path I came in is to high to jump even with the cloak, is the only way out thrugh the puddle??
