Just beat Pokémon Heart & Soul, it is a great hack

I have been playing Heart & Soul since I saw it released. I got all the fossil mons, which I only mention because I love the fossil mons! I planned my team beforehand, going in blind, or as blind as i could having already played Gold and Legacy Crystal. I expected it to be a little different, and was pleasantly surprised it was quite faithful to Crystal. My brother gave me some ideas, but I ultimately wanted to use Gen II mons I had overlooked when I played Gold on the GBC and Legacy Crystal. I have always avoided Tyranitar because you can’t get one until late game, and I felt it was overrated at that point. So he made the cut. Then I used Wyrdeer, Honchkrow, Mamoswine, and Bloodmoon Ursaluna. I also used Meganium for the first time, shiny hunting that off the bat was brutal. The ability to catch the Kanto and Johto starters near the Elite 4 was a nice touch. I considered shiny hunting them and legendaries, but I discovered I do not have the resolve for that if I do not like the shiny (looking at you, legendary bird trio). I only have Lugia, Articuno, and Zapdos as far as legendaries go. I beat Johto, Kanto, and Red. I was considering filling the dex, but that may take a back seat to new ROM hacks on my list. Great ROM hack, very faithful to Gen II, the QoL improvements were very nice.
