What is the best budget tent for windy locations?

Hi everyone!

I’ve been camping in quite open, windy areas lately, and my old tent has become basically a noisy kite. The poles bend, the fabric flaps all night, and I struggle to get any sleep. If you’ve camped in windy locations, which tent truly withstands the conditions without costing a fortune? Also, are shorter tents really that much better in the wind, or is that just a common misconception?
