Man (54) dating younger woman (35) will it work ?

My cousin, who I’m very close to, recently met a man through a meetup hiking group. There’s a significant age gap between them, and he seems very attentive towards her. They’re both childless and divorced, and financially independent (she’s a dentist and he’s a pharmacist), so money isn’t a factor here.

He comes across as a very sweet, respectful man with good manners, and overall seems like a gentleman. I’m just curious whether relationships with an age gap like this can actually work long-term. Not in a judgmental way just trying to understand what to expect and how to support her.
