New Store Manager

To start this rant, I want to mention that my District Manager is known for hiring managers without doing his due diligence. I asked three Ross store managers about the new store manager and figured out why she left. She was on the verge of being fired because of the condition of her store. She simply stopped showing up and started applying for other jobs. Now that she was hired for our store, she spent the first two months in her office or on vacation. Now the store is in a bad state. She is trying to fix it, but her idea of fixing it is to constantly yell at employees on the floor or pass the blame to other managers. She doesn't like our Ops Manager, so she started making small changes that caused the BOH to be over by a ridiculous amount of hours. Instead of owning her mistakes, she scheduled everyone on Sunday and sent everyone home early on Saturday. I have worked at this store for two years. BOH has never worked on Sundays during that time—no announcement or warning. Half the team didn't even look at their schedules for Sunday. Today, they sent everyone who didn't show up on Sunday home with no explanation. Then they gathered everyone who was there on Sunday and told them this week they were expected to do multiple jobs in half the time. Oh, and get this—nobody can work the same pod multiple days. So we're throwing people into positions they aren't trained for, or they're not the strongest option. Do you think that's right? Why should everyone who went above and beyond be punished just because they're mad at the Ops manager? The one who's now supposed to work only on the floor! I know some of the changes have been for the better! Yet a lot is not only hurting the morale of the store. But it is pushing a lot of the hard workers and rewarding the unseasoned employees causing others to work harder for very little pay!
