Options in the UK for eBUS control of a Vaillant boiler
I've got a Vaillant ecoTEC plus 832 combi boiler in my home, currently with a very basic 'bang - bang' style thermostat.
I've recently found out about the eBUS thing where a suitable controller can give way more control, like adjusting the modulation of the burner to regulate the heat output based on how much heat is actually needed to heat the room to it's desired temperature, amongst other things.
And also that you can read data from the boiler to show gas usage, heat output and so on.
I'd really like to start simple and just read the gas usage to begin with, which i imagine would be a calculation from the heat output, burner modulation settings etc?
i have smart gas meter, but it's a smets1 version with that crappy unreliable trilliant hub, so the glowmarket integration in HA can only get data from their server (they canceled my order of a cad / display because of the reliability issues of the trilliant hub)

Most people say to buy a 'Elecrow eBUS Adapter Shield C6' but they don't seem to be that easy to get in the uk... the EU shop is out of stock, and the only other place i find is the elecrow store in america... where shipping to the uk can be almost as much as the adaptor.
Has anyone used another eBUS adapter with home assistant and a vaillant combi boiler that is easier to buy in the uk?
I have a spare raspberry Pi 3B+, and a few ESP32 S3 devkit boards i can run it on.
:
I was also wondering about the 'myVAILLANT connect' which is the official eBUS controller from viallant, but i believe that uses the cloud even when controlling it from home assistant, which i do not want... i use home assistant to run everything local.
And from what i read, they use a proprietary comms protocol between the connect hub and other devices to force you to use only their specific thermostats with it, and their 'ambisense' smart TRV's (that they don't even sell anymore)
Eventually i'd like to create a better central heating system using smart TRV's to make the central heating system zoned by room,
And have temperature sensors in each room to control the heating of just the rooms that actually need heating,
Plus an outdoor temp sensor for weather compensation etc (i don't need any remote control of the heating from out of the house, i'm disabled so rarely leave it)

So, are there any uk based options for this vaillant eBUS in HA? or any things i have got wrong with what i'd like to do?
