I cropped her name out for privacy reasons, but I was speaking to a woman about a two week stay with her four dogs, one cat, and a bird (six animals) for February. She told me to send her a quote for the price for all of the animals, which I did, and I didn't hear back for a day or so. I decided to text and check in. My rover prices are very low for my area ($30/ night dog, + $18/night per additional dog, $21/ night for one cat) I had to come up with a price /night for a bird based on how much care I felt they would need, and gave her a quote. That's $130/night. Most people ask $100/night for one animal. So I felt this was a fair price. She wanted me there for 13 days, so 12 nights, 130×12 = 1,690.

I gave her this price, and then offered me a price LOWER than just her four dogs per night. And then proceeded to just be an absolute bitch for no reason. I said I was sorry it didn't work out, and truly did hope she found someone who she felt she could work with, and that her animals were in good hands. She proceeded to call me names, and just be so so rude for absolutely no reason at all. I was very kind and professional, and even offered to talk the price over a little.

Rover is my full time job. It is how I feed not only myself, but my pets at home, and my partner. It's how I pay my phone bill, and fill up and fix my car that is slowly falling apart. Idk, I just felt like her being this rude was totally unnecessary, and if she was unhappy with the price, she could have either expressed that to me in a kinder way, and we could have come to a compromise, or she could have just said it wasn't going to work, and move on, but she had to make a lot of unnecessary comments and just be vicious.

Probably the rudest client I've ever met.
