Does Air China currently enforce the “two-crew cockpit rule”?
Hi everyone, I’m trying to clarify something about cockpit safety procedures in Chinese airlines.
After the Germanwings incident in 2015, the CAAC stated that Chinese airlines — including Air China — already had a “two-crew in the cockpit” rule (meaning there must always be at least two crew members present).
However, I can’t find any recent confirmation that Air China still applies this rule today. Does anyone know if Air China currently enforces the two-person cockpit policy on their flights? Recent experiences, official sources, or updates from pilots/crew would be especially helpful. I ask because I have fear of flying and that would be better if they did…
Thanks in advance!
