Roblox Changes to Chat

Hi everyone, Roblox is bringing new and enhanced safety features to their platform beginning December 2025 which will fundamentally transform how players communicate across experiences. As part of these enhanced safety practices, users will be required to verify their age in order to chat with other players in similar age groups.

Impacts to Trainings

Our training system is heavily reliant on chat-based communication in order to help facilitate trainee assessments. These changes to how chat works will impact our trainings and we have made temporary adjustments in compliance with the new procedures. These changes take effect immediately and will be adopted uniformly across departments.

Chat will no longer be used for communication with trainees

Pay attention to visual pop-ups on screen for information during our briefing session as well as to be called for your assessment. Trainees will remain muted the entire session.

The Q&A will be removed

We will no longer be able to accept questions during the briefing section of our training sessions. Chat visibility will be restricted by age preventing Supervisors from seeing every message sent in training.

You may no longer be able to communicate with your assessor

We will no longer be able to offer translations for trainees as they no longer have the ability to request them through chat. For questions regarding your results or if you need help interpreting results, feel free to create a ticket to get in touch with somebody who can help.

Holiday Training Break

Every year, trainings are suspended during the winter holidays to give our u/Supervisors and u/Managers time off to spend with their friends and family. This year our holiday training break will take place from Wednesday, December 24th to Friday, January 2nd. During this time, no trainings will be hosted. Trainings will resume at 00:00 GMT on Friday. Ticket creation will remain enabled, but expect longer wait times while people are away for the holiday season. u/here
