4mo sleep regression
I’m assuming this is a sleep regression. My son never had this issue, he was always such a good sleeper; even at 4 years he sleeps through the night and so independently.
My daughter is 4 months ( 19weeks to be exact), and for the last month it’s been a nightmare. She might have one night where she sleeps solidly through 11-12 hours, but for the most part she is up every 30 minutes to an hour or less. The only time she will solidly sleep is if she’s on my husband’s chest.
During the day she contact naps with me, but her naps during the day are beginning to be a struggle, too. They’re usually 20-30 minutes, sometimes she’ll do an hour to two hours. But the long ones are NEVER in her own bed, it’s always on me (or her dad if it’s the weekend). She falls asleep on my husband at night and then he lies her down in her bassinet. sometimes she’ll stay asleep. Lately she might stay asleep and then wake up 20-30 minutes later, or immediately wake up after he lies her down.
We’re exhausted 😅 it’s so nerve wracking. We have a specific schedule we’ve followed for months, and we aren’t interested in leaving her to cry for any amount of time. We try to just put the pacifier back in and walk out, but that’s starting to not work.
