Is this guy into me or am I delusional?

Okay Reddit, help me out. There’s this guy in my class (we’re both guys), and I’m super confused because I cannot tell if he’s into me or if I’m just overthinking everything.

We don’t really talk much, just casual stuff like “did you do the homework?” or “is the test today?” But sometimes he sits next to me. Then one completely random day, after a normal conversation about homework, he suddenly goes: “Have you ever wondered that your eyes looked really pretty?” While smiling in an awkward way*?*

Like… excuse me?? Where did that come from?? I thought it was a prank at first but he doesn’t really talk to other classmates.

He’s usually the type who always sits in the back of the class, but right after that compliment, he sat next to me instead. He spent the whole class playing some game, and at one point he literally placed his phone on my leg while showing it to me. I don’t even know what he said, I just asked him what I was supposed to do in the game.

It’s been a few weeks and we make eye contact a lot now — way more than before. He also does this thing where he tilts his head at me when we look at each other, kind of like a “what’s up?” gesture. Next class we “supposed” to sit together my classmate put his bag on the seat next to me, so he couldn’t sit there and instead sat at the f***ing closest radius to me that was possible, which felt intentional but I’m not sure.

We don’t talk a lot though, I barely know him. I asked him about that game once because Block Blast got boring, but honestly everything still feels awkward.

So… what does this sound like to you? Is he into me? Or is this “bro” behavior and I’m being delusional? Honestly, what kind of f*ing rom-com is happening right now?
