Multiple crushes at once are possible?

So I heard recently that it’s actually super common for someone to be attracted to multiple people at a time. This sounds stupid, but I wasn’t even aware that was a thing. I thought it was just an urban legend, or something super rare that the media amplified (as we all know, the media is not very reliable when it comes to how romance works irl). I mean, how do you know who you want to be with if you’re attracted to multiple people at once? And why do people in TV shows sometimes date a third, totally different person? It sounds exhausting. But I wouldn’t know. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
