My driver’s side door won’t open from the outside after a blizzard.

So I already took my car to the shop for something else that’s gonna cost $400+ to fix, and I made an appointment to get that issue fixed next week.

But after that horrible blizzard we got, my driver’s side door stopped opening from the outside and I NEED it fixed today.

Here’s what it’s doing: If my car is locked and I unlock it, the door will not open from the outside. But if I open it from the inside first and leave it unlocked, then it opens from the outside perfectly fine.

What is wrong with my car?? It worked perfectly fine before the blizzard. Can I fix this myself or do I have to take it in again? I’m paying $400+ for another repair and I literally cannot deal with this issue anymore. Someone help please.
