Dividing America on purpose
I am fairly young; my first voting cycle was for Obama’s second term. Throughout HS and college, I was definitely left leaning. What I remember pre-Trump, was I could have debates with conservatives and we mostly agreed (80%) on issues and goals just with some disagreements on how to get there.
Today, I feel both parties are all about driving hate and division. You’re either a “libtard” or a “trumper”, and if you disagree with something your group thinks, you are casted out and made to feel ashamed.
Here’s the thing: if I know your stance on one issue, I shouldn’t be able to guess your stance on every single other issue. Abortions hate nothing to do with immigration, gun laws, prison reform, transgender, etc. but there is no semblance of nuance today.
It makes me sad, and it’s more clear every day this is on purpose. Keep us distracted and at each others throats so we don’t pay attention to all of the fraud, and that it’s really 4-5 corporations (and secret societies) that control all of the wealth, policy, media, etc. Just remember that the enemy isn’t the “blue haired libtard” or the “trumper”, and if you actually sat down and talked to them, you’d probably agree on more than you disagreed on. The real enemy is the people pulling strings behind the scenes for their own benefit, engaging in rent-seeking behavior, and making us hate eachother
