What gets reported?

I want to speak up about SA but I want to know if that is something that falls under mandatory reporting. The reason I ask is because I don't want any family drama. (The abuser was fam). I brought it up to my mom already and she said "don't tell anyone it will just bring shame." -- pissed me off that nobody will believe me so I want to go to therapy for it. BUT I also don't want to deal with any additional drama in my life.

The abuser has no access to children but it did happen when I was younger. I am an adult. Abuser was an adult.
