Hydrocele removal

31M. Last spring, I noticed a lump by one of my testicles. I got checked out with a sonogram and they determined it wasn't a tumor and was likely a hydrocele. It wasn't very large at the time and I was told it should go away on its own. Well, it hasn't. It's gotten pretty big. It's not painful or anything but it's definitely in the way and is occasionally uncomfortable. I have insurance but seldom go through my deductible, so I'm not crazy about the idea of getting another big medical bill (it cost me around $1500 to get it checked out last year). So I'm curious if it's serious enough that I should go ahead and take the bill to get it checked out and potentially removed, or if it's more of an inconvenience that can be left alone for the time being.
