What are activities or field trips for kids interested in archeology?

My eight year old daughter has always told people she wants to be an archeologist since she was first asked what she wants to be when she grows up. She loves watching archeology shows and YouTube clips about past civilizations and artifacts. To share her interest, I have purchased "ancient artifacts" like coins, etc to bury in the backyard for her to dig up and research. We have visited museums and places like the LaBrea Tarpits to watch people excavate indigenous artifacts.

My question is, what are things you would suggest, or places to visit to help support a kid's archeology interest? I would like to further support my daughter and an looking for interesting ideas, her eyes light up whenever archeology or human history is discussed.
