Moldy Water Bottle Straw - How Long to Recover

My adult daughter has been having stomach upsets, sometimes throwing up, with stomach pain, off and on, for several weeks. She thought she was sensitive to something she ate, then multiple somethings, but then she realized she was drinking from a moldy water bottle straw.

She washed her water bottle and got a new straw, but she had another bout of stomach problems today. We're wondering how fast she should get better if it was because of the mold. And if it just gets better, or if some sort of treatment might be needed. I have always had the impression that the mold doctor world is it's own kind of danger, so would really like to avoid that, if possible.

Or maybe it is only partially related to the moldy water bottle straw...

Any advice would be appreciated.
