ASIO not letting me hear both reaper output and desktop output simultaneously.

Hi all, I recently got new computer hardware and I use reaper to record my guitar along with using VST plugins, my audio interface doesn’t have unique drivers so i’m forced to use ASIO4ALL, and since I use youtube and spotify as a backing track for my playing, this is a significant problem for me. whenever I try and ouput my guitar and another desktop application at the same time, either reaper goes mute and my output device suddenly “isn’t connected” (input is detected), or I get an error from youtube or spotify. this is the same with other websites. just no audio from one or the other.

I have tried unchecking “allow applications to take exclusive control of this device” for both my audio interface and my studio monitors, but that results in them not showing up as available input/output in reaper settings.

any help is greatly appreciated as I know this issue has happened to others. thanks
