Recommended torque printed on handlebar lower than recommended torque for handlebar clamp on stem.
A bit of weird one I have encountered today, I have a set of Used Specialized Expert Alloy Bars (2014 alloy) that I am going to fit on my Diverge (going down from 440mm to 400mm after a bike fit).
The one thing I noticed is that the bars have a recommended torque on the back, 40 In-LB (4.5 nM) for 4 bolt stem and 80 In-LB (9.0 nM) for 2 bolt stem.
But the stem clamp recommends 5-6nM, a 4 bolt Specialized Stem.
Seems a bit odd for an alloy bar to be recommending a torque that low, although only 0.5nM out, although that could be me showing my ignorance here.
Will 5nM be okay, given that it's Alloy and the difference is only 0.5nM?
