Evelyn’s Vendetta: A city she can’t fit in to

In the recent vid on Erica’s channel we were only 2 minutes in when Evelyn started complaining about LA. What was evident in the video is that she doesn’t like LA bc she doesn’t fit in. Let me explain.

It’s fine, who fits in wherever they go ? No one. Evelyn feels the pressure to fit in since LA is the influencer hotspot and is also a well known city as NY. West Coast vs East Coast is the oldest tale in time. They share some of the same aspects but are drastically different. Here are some examples of the traits that LA carries that Evelyn can’t adhere to:

• You 100% need a car, yes we have buses and uber but we aren’t as walking friendly like NY. No big deal but it reminds her how she can’t drive at 26 in an area where influencers have more than one car and are always on the freeway.
• She’s awkward. Californians are known for being more social due to us being on a slower pace compared to New Yorkers. Being an introvert is okay it’s not foreign in Cali, it’s just how she combats it.
• Being rude. She combats her awkwardness by being so cold. She knows she struggles with social interactions with strangers, so rather than trying to communicate and risk feeling awkward, she acts rude as a way to shield herself. That’s why she kept making fun of Emily for being so nice. In NY people are too busy to care if ur rude to them, NY has a “keep it pushin” mentality. In California we got time.

Did you see the way Evelyn looked at the in n out worker when all she said was “okay” when Evelyn was ordering ? Then laughed after as if the worker did something weird. Emily ordered just fine and was polite the whole, she wasn’t over doing it. Also I find it comical that they mimic the valley accent when they’ve had one their whole yt career. Their valley accent is thicker than mine.

As a Californian, yes I was mad. I watch their vlogs bc I find the New York lifestyle interesting since it’s a sharp contrast from Cali. Ask Evelyn what type of content she makes and she always says travel vlogs. So why is ur attitude so sour when traveling to LA? Personally I’d never move to NY, bc ik im not made for it, and my attitude doesn’t align with the NY attitude and that’s fine. I’d still love to visit NY and appreciate what they have to offer.

PS: Evelyn ….. wearing all black and having a stick up ur ass doesn’t make u an East Coast girly. There’s plenty in LA, ur not as different as u thought … lol
