This bone week is a tricky conundrum. You can have a phenomonally powerful Bone week. Menacing Birds is probably the best opportunity to convert echos into Scrip or Stuvier. Colourful Phantacist is the best occasional buyer. Fishy Diplomat is a very workable demand.

However… What I would recommend is:

We have the tree for 7 days and then it is gone forever. While it is here it is the best source of Dreadful Surmise in the game by a massive margin!(Even better if you are free to play!) It is also the best source in the game for Leviathan Frames and Collated Research(By a smaller margin). It is also highly useable to convert items easily attainable from the bone market and the rat market into 'Tree Points'. Here is a breakdown of the event:

All actions are variable EPA based on your base stats. Mine have not quite recovered from Nadir but I am getting 5.65 EPA. This makes it a top tier action but is also a bit irrelevant. Since it's variable and based on your stats I will call it your floury BAP.

There are two stat checks that are winds determined and pay flat BAP. Nobody likes a flat bap though!

There are also conversion actions, which pay the value of the items you sacrifice + a tasty BAP on top, these are:

500 Whispered Hints(You probably have loads, you can make a ribcage with 8 spines with 8 bright brass skulls and then dismantle to get a huge amount at the cost of 9 actions) = 5E + BAP

2 Knobs of Scintillac(Bone Market) = 5e + BAP

26-50

50 Phosopherant Scarabs(Rat Market, I sit on about 5000 of each of the 0.1 items you can buy from there always, just in case, more than that of Inklings of Identity) = 5e + BAP

10 Hand Picked Peppercaps(best source is trade nightsoil for peppercaps on an UR card, not sure best bulk source, I have thousands) = 5E + BAP

51-75

100 Nodules of Warm Amber(Bone Market) = 10E + BAP

True sign of love that I tested this and didn't just assume:

1 Orange Apple(Hard to get, not worth, skip this) = 12.5E + BAP

56-60

Needs Engaged in Rooftop Horticulture 2

Pays 1.09 BAP(6.15 echos, for me compared to my 5.65)

There are 3 other options like this, 5 winds range, same payout, one more for Rooftop Horticulture, one for a tree from Christmas, it was day 4 or 6 last year I think. I forget the last one, or it might just be 3.

76-100

1000 foxfire candle stubs(best source of these is the bazaar, at a markup, so skip) = 10E + BAP

25 Nightsoils of the Bazaar(Bone Market) = 12.5E + BAP

Why turn in items if I just get the same value back?

Because you are turning easy to get items into hard to get items. Also you are turning items into bones(indirectly with the Surmise and the Research), which means they will come back to you with a markup once you use them. Also, being bones, you can turn them into scrip, expecially any menace or antiquity week. You can also turn them into Stuvier through the enthusiast of the ancient world and the Sous Market. Antiquity week makes the secondary payout from him 2.5 echos better but that is not why you are there anyway.
