Tokyo Hotel advise/recommendations
I’m going to be staying in Tokyo soon and need to book a hotel. Since I’m traveling solo I’m just looking for something cheap, clean, and in a good location.
A while ago in a past thread about hotels someone mentioned APA hotels. That they are a national chain are cheap and clean and are everywhere. Everyone who commented pretty much agreed. The only downside they said are that the owners have controversial views and the rooms are small.
So after a quick search in Expedia the first two APA hotels that showed up were APA Hotel Shinjuku Kabukicho Tower and APA Hotel Higashi Shinjuku Kabukicho Tower. They both have good reviews saying that the rooms were clean, staff friendly, and in a good location (apparently near a major train line).
So my question to everyone is are these two hotels a good option? I could be wrong, so please correct me if I am, but I believe Shinjuku is a good spot in Tokyo.
Also are there better APA hotels or ones like them that are in better locations? Like closer to Haneda, in a nicer part of Tokyo or closer to a major train line?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
