Thinking about making a platform for AI art — opinions?

Hi everyone,
I'm working on an idea for a social platform for AI creators, and I'm hoping to get some honest feedbacks from you all.

From what I've seen, AI creators run in to a bunch of issues on usual platforms:

  • Instagram still feels like as space for a platform for photographers and traditional artists. Most people still don’t expect to see AI content there.
  • TikTok’s algorithm is all over the place. And creators get good reach only when their content fits whatever trend is hot that week
  • Reddit isn’t really built for personal branding or long-term growth.
  • I don't think people would use Twitter/X to showcase their AI art works.

Basically, these platforms were designed for real photos and videos, not AI-generated work. And none of them really help AI artists make money from what they create.

Their only big upside is that they already have tons of users.

But that’s just my take — I really want to hear from you:

  • What do current platforms get wrong for AI creators?
  • Are you making money from your artwork now? If so, how?
  • And how would you want to monetize your work if you could choose?
  • What would your ideal AI-creator social platform look like?

Thanks for reading!

I also put up a simple landing page at illusia.ai . If the idea sounds interesting, you can join the waitlist there.
