Gallbladder pain.
37F. 140lbs 5’ 3”. I have a history of IBS-C. I take azelastine as needed for allergies.
Because of my IBS I have a gastroenterologist, and an existing gallbladder polyp. I get an ultrasound every 6 months to check on the size, and it hasn’t grown in two years so far. My most recent ultrasound, about three weeks ago, showed the polyp. No gallbladder stones or wall thickening, etc.
Today I went to my primary care for right sided pain. After a physical exam he said I was positive for murphy’s sign, pressing on my gallbladder area and having tenderness when I inhale. He recommended I see gastro again and tell them he suspects something with the gallbladder.
Any ideas what could be the cause of the pain if my ultrasound was clear besides the polyp?
